Founded by a duo, Renzie Ramos and Marianne Canuto, Marzié Pizzeria is on a mission to bring the flavors of Italy to Rizalenos’ palates.
Renzie and Marianne's journey with Marzié Pizzeria began with a simple yet profound craving for Neapolitan pizza—a culinary delight not readily available in their area. Determined to make Neapolitan pizza accessible and delightful to Filipino taste buds, they embarked on a flavorful adventure that would redefine the pizza landscape in Rizal.
Renzie Ramos, with almost seven years of experience as a baker and four years as a commissary operations manager, alongside Marianne Canuto, a QA-IT specialist with a passion for culinary excellence, are the driving forces behind Marzie Pizzeria.
Their journey from a Bacsilog food cart to the establishment of Marzié Pizzeria is a testament to their unwavering dedication to their craft and dedication to share the flavors they made to the local community.
Marzié Pizzeria's humble beginnings trace back to a pop-up pizza shop in Pililia, Rizal, where Renzie and Marianne would sell their Neapolitan creations using a mini oven. From there, they transitioned to a permanent space in Binangonan, overcoming logistical challenges and embracing each obstacle as a stepping stone towards their culinary dream.
“Since it was a pop-up shop and we don't have a car, it is very challenging to bring the oven, tent, ingredients, dough (which is inside the cooler), kitchen/pizza utensils, packaging and setup everything every day. Whenever we look back, it reminds us of the progress we've made and encourages us to continue moving forward, regardless of any obstacles that may come our way.”
From the early days of setting up a pop-up shop to the ongoing quest for culinary excellence, Renzie and Marianne have encountered their fair share of challenges. Yet, with determination and perseverance, they've turned each hurdle into an opportunity for growth, shaping the identity of Marzié Pizzeria along the way.
Renzie and Marianne place a premium on customer feedback, constantly striving to meet and exceed their patrons' expectations. By actively engaging with their community and soliciting input, they ensure that Marzie Pizzeria's menu offerings resonate with their customers' preferences and desires.
“We continually introduce new products and improve our ingredients for our customers to try. We also asked for their feedback, which helps us keep improving our menu and pizza restaurant.”
Their personal favorites? Classic Margherita Pizza and Frutti di Mare (Seafood) Pasta, alongside innovative offerings like Truffle and Shiitake Mushroom Pizza and Wagyu Burgers.
When asked about what their advise is to other food entrepreneurs who are also starting, they said,
” Don't be afraid to get feedback because it'll help you improve yourself and your business. Accept every challenge as it's your path to success.”
